My sister sent me the link to the Top 87 Bad Predictions About the Future. It’s easy to chuckle at some of them – how wrong they were!

An interesting assignment would be to write a wrong prediction about something: a historical outcome, a chemical experiment, geological changes, and then describe why that prediction was wrong. It could be a creative outlet for the students, and give an instructor a break from the usual text. This assessment would require creativity, synthesis of how the facts would impact this false statement, and analysis of what could occur.
